Joel Berg, DDS, MS
A board-certified pediatric dentist, Joel has a long history of service to the dental community. He was President of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) from 2012 to 2013 and President of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry from 2018 to 2019. Joel is also the former Dean at the University of Washington School of Dentistry where he served as Chair of the Board of Health Sciences Deans and was principal in the creation of a 26-chair, state-of-the-art facility that provides comprehensive oral health services to children. He's also the host of two highly successful AAPD-launched podcast series.

Mark E. Doherty, DMD
Co-founder and CEO of the dental consulting firm, D4 Practice Solutions. He is a partner in Southcoast Endodontics and owner of Commonwealth Mobile Oral Health Services (CMOHS), a portable dental practice that provides comprehensive dentistry in over 350 locations throughout the state of Massachusetts to populations who face barriers to accessing dental care. As a dynamic dental specialist overseeing his four-location endodontic private practice and extensive experience in the provision of preventive, restorative, and routine dental care to underserved populations, Dr. Doherty offers a multi-faceted level of expertise in many dental environments.

Brian Novy, DDS
Brian Novy, DDS serves as president of the National CAMBRA Coalition, and the consumer advocate to the US FDA Dental Products Panel. He is the recipient of the ADA Preventive Care Practice of the Year Award, The ADA Evidence Based Practice Award, and the Academy of General Dentistry Weclew Award. His research interests include remineralization, sialochemistry, caries disease management, and outcomes assessment.

Mary E. Foley, MPH
Ms. Mary E. Foley is the Executive Director of the Medicaid|Medicare|CHIP Services Dental Association (MSDA). MSDA is the national non-profit organization that works with government agencies, health plans, providers and other industry supports to advance oral health equity for America’s most vulnerable individuals.
After twenty years in clinical practice, Ms. Foley moved into the public health arena serving as the Director of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH), Office of Oral Health. In 2005 she moved to Washington DC to lead a national campaign focused on Improving oral health for low-income pregnant women and infants. During this time, she served as an advisor to the Office of Head Start, the CDC, and other federal agencies in Washington DC.

Jonathan Norris, DMD
Dr. Jonathan Norris is a Board-Certified pediatric dentist practicing in 9 practices throughout Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Since 2017 he has been an advocate of practicing minimally invasive dentistry with a focus on non-surgical intervention and reducing pediatric sedations. Through the medical management of Caries, he has resigned from 6 hospitals he previously held operating room privileges. He is passionate about educating the medical and dental profession on the impact this will have for patients, providers, and practices.

Danielle has over 17 years’ experience in dental practice management consulting, business operations and value-based oral healthcare. In her role, she delivers impactful learning solutions that advance value-based care in oral health through programmatic initiatives, national presentations, publications and the development of tools and resources.
Her mission is to support and empower healthcare professionals and leaders to transform their practices and systems to deliver value-based, patient-centered, and integrated oral health care.
Danielle received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree from the University of Phoenix in Arizona.

Andrea Dickhaut, RDH, BSDH, MHA
Andrea is a seasoned dental professional with both clinical and management experience. As Program Manager and Senior Consultant at D4 Practice Solutions, Andrea is responsible for the overall organization and leadership of client projects and serves as a consultant in her own areas of expertise. She has held administrative leadership positions in a variety of organizations, including private practices, Federally Qualified Health Centers, hospital dental programs and portable dental programs.
Andrea’s unique combination of clinical and administrative experience has enabled her to develop and implement a variety of initiatives designed to improve clinical quality, operational efficiency, and financial performance. Andrea regularly speaks on practice and revenue cycle management at regional and national conferences, including those sponsored by the National Network for Oral Health Access and primary care associations.

Carolyn Brown, DDS, MEd is a dynamic, seasoned health care executive and operator with a passion for innovation, access and equity, and the power of data and financial excellence. Her long-time clients and partners are some of the biggest names in the dental industry, and her advisory roles with investment firms stretch from global consulting firms to medtech to digital health to dental startups. She is the Co-Founder and CSO/CFO of a new dental software company, Different Kind Inc, that seeks to improve both the patient journey and providers journey in the changing dental ecosystem employing spot-on UI/UX and evidenced-based tools. Dr. Brown is the Dental Director of the Health Plan of San Mateo, a county-focused managed Medicaid and Medicare Advantage plan serving over 160,000 members with a mission that Healthy is for All.

Bob Russell, DDS, MPH, MPA
Dr. Bobby D. Russell recently retired as Public Health Dental Director for the State of Iowa, Department of Public Health. Dr. Russell successfully Initiated and developed a preventive and dental access model for Iowa which was passed into legislation in 2005 and implemented in 2007 establishing a statewide oral health school screening, school-based sealant, and care coordination project. This project met the dental home mandate for Medicaid-enrolled and non-covered children and became a national model for developing state dental public health programs. This program known as the statewide “I-Smile” dental home initiative serves over tens of thousands of Iowa children. Dr. Russell is well known for his passion and drive to make oral health care available to all underserved populations.
